MHA reminds us that It takes time to get better. You could be going through something situational, which can improve with time to process feelings (for example, grief after the death of a loved one or a tough break-up) or adjustments to your environment (like switching lockers to get away from someone who is a bully), or you could have a more long term mental health issue. Mental health issues are common and treatable; however, you may have to try a few different things to find right type of treatment or combination of strategies that works best for you.

I utilize a variety of theoretical perspectives including: CBT,   person-centered approach, brief interventions, and   solution-focused interventions.

Often I prefer to incorporate creative techniques and humor to make therapy a comfortable process in a safe and supportive environment.
